SALON POLICIES
A few things
worth knowing.
Clear expectations make for a better salon experience.
Our policies help us protect the time our stylists reserve for each guest while keeping things fair and consistent for everyone. If you’re ever unsure about a policy or need to talk through a situation, please reach out to us.
-
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. Our stylists set aside that time, prepare for your service, and structure their day around the appointments on their schedule. We ask that you give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged up to 50% of the scheduled services.
No-shows may be charged up to 100% of the scheduled services. If we don’t hear from you and you don’t arrive for your appointment, it will be considered a no-show.
We understand that life happens. Genuine emergencies and unexpected circumstances will always be considered individually. These policies aren’t intended to penalize our guests. They help us protect the time our stylists have reserved and the opportunity another guest may have had to schedule that appointment.
Guests with a pattern of late cancellations or no-shows may be required to prepay for future appointments before they are reserved.
-
A valid card on file is required to reserve all appointments at Hair to be Different.
Your card is not charged simply for scheduling an appointment. It is stored securely and may be charged when applicable under our Cancellation & No-Show Policy.
If your card information changes or is no longer valid, we may ask you to update it before reserving another appointment.
-
We want you to feel great about your hair. If something about your service doesn’t feel right, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment. We’ll talk through your concerns and, when appropriate, arrange an adjustment.
Complimentary adjustments apply when something from the originally agreed-upon service needs to be corrected.
A change in preference or a request for additional work beyond what was originally discussed is considered a new service. For example, if you choose a limited blonding service and later decide you’d like significantly more blonde, the additional blonding would not be considered a complimentary adjustment.
If you’re unsure whether something qualifies, contact us. We’d rather have the conversation and determine the best next step together.
-
We want the products you take home to be the right fit for your hair.
Products purchased from Hair to be Different may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase, provided that less than 25% of the product has been used.
If a product isn’t working for you, reach out or bring it into the salon and we’ll help you find a better fit.
-
All extension services begin with a consultation so we can evaluate your hair, discuss your goals, and determine the appropriate extension method, color, length, and maintenance plan.
Hair to be Different does not install extensions purchased outside of the salon. We also do not perform maintenance, move-ups, or corrective work on extension installations performed elsewhere.
This allows our stylists to stand behind the quality of the hair, installation, and ongoing care of your extensions.
